I was approached with an unusual but, as it turned out, frequent problem. When the pen was turned into the 'air conditioning' position, the shutter not only dropped, but it also began to open. The window lived its life, and the owners could not influence it in any way. In addition, because of the huge cracks in the winter window, snow could be detected on the window sill.

The reasons: why this happened

Because of all this, the shutter could not close normally in any position, and when you tried to push it back into the ventilation, the mechanism didn't work; the window just opened.
What I did
I've completely reworked the lattice, restored its geometry, and it's a laborious process that requires precision and experience.
The result
The window was closing tightly, without cracks. The ventilation system worked perfectly. The customer was satisfied, especially when he learned that there would be no shovels on the window sill now in winter.

If the window is opened during ventilation or in winter, the window slide is snowed in — it is not in the pen and not in the «broken settings». It is a slit of the shutter plus a worn-out sealant.
