Diagnosis: What did you find?
The examination revealed several problems that in total gave such an unpleasant effect:
- The shutters are bent.The creature was bent by a bow. The probable cause was the lack of thickness of the reinforcement (metal strengthening within the profile) or the use of a neoriginally weak metal.
- The wrong sealer.Three locations (probably during previous warming attempts) had a non-stick sealant installed that was not designed for holding.
- The presence of a ventilation valve.The valve itself is not a problem, but when combined with other defects, it only enhances the feeling of the passage.
Because of these shortcomings, the wind was finding cracks, and the door was beginning to whistle.
What has been done to resolve the problem?
I proposed a comprehensive renovation that included several stages:
- Rearming part of the crease from the loop side.It's a complicated procedure that allowed the hardness of the shutter to be increased in the most difficult place, and the metallic amplifier was replaced with a more powerful one, which gave the shutter the correct geometry.
- Replace the sealant.All the wrong, non-stick sealants have been removed, and a new, high-quality sealant has been installed on the perimeter, designed for the holding.
- Replacement of the replacement parts of the compressed chaps.The old bars that did not provide the proper grip were replaced by new ones to make the grip even and dense.
The result
After all the work, the door stopped blowing, the whistle disappeared completely, the building closed easily, the pressure was uniform throughout the perimeter, the room was noticeably warmer, and the drawers were no longer disturbed.
