What Not to Butter Plastic Windows

WD-40— it's not a lubricant, it's a water repellent. It washes the factory lubricant and a month later leaves the machine dry, accelerating wear.

Lithium, solids, and thick machine oil— pulls in dust and dirt, turning into abrasive that wipes out the parts.

Vaseline, glycerin, vegetable oil— dry, thicken, leave a sticky filling.

Don't use aerosols without pipes; they'll spray past and pack the profile.

The wrong lubrication often leads to the fact that after six months the equipment has to be changed, and I see a lot of cases where the client presses the WD-40 and then the pen is turned off and the speaker has to be changed.
