The reducer (main drive) is a window fittings device that transmits power from the handle to the shutter mechanism, opening, closing and dropping the shutter. When the reducer fails, the shutter can lock, stop responding to the turn of the handle or start to rotate.
I, Dmitry, a master in the repair of plastic windows in Minsk. I have been working since 2003, I have passed through more than 9 800 windows.
The problem is a faulty reader.
I was approached with a classic situation: the window sill stopped opening. The handle either didn't turn at all or it was turning without resistance, but the mechanism didn't work. The cause was the main drive broke. The mechanism was locked, and the sill was locked in one position.

The result
When the drive is replaced, the shutter opens again easily and smoothly, without any strikes or other sounds. The handle rotates with normal force, the window closes tightly.
