It doesn't take a whole day, but in short, before the fall, I'd check seven things: whether the shutter is hanging, whether it's attaching to the frame, whether the handle is working, whether the pressure is even, whether there's no bloating, what's the condition of the sealant, whether the equipment is working.

If you're okay, that's fine. If you're a problem, that's usually much easier to solve than in the cold.

Check number one.

Close the window. Look at the distance between the shutter and the frame. Then open and close the window several times. Watch if the shutter does not attach the bottom of the frame, if it has to be lifted up, if there is a distinctive friction sound, if you have to press the handle harder than usual.

If the window used to close easily, and now you're going to 'lift up the shutter', 'click on the pen', 'click on the pen', 'check the adjustment'.
